Our April sound bath falls on a new supermoon, often associated with fresh starts, introspection, and personal discovery. Paired with the natural momentum of springtime renewal and growth, this relaxing 75-min sound bath invites us to shed what’s unnecessary and ease ourselves into clarity for the vibrant, warmer months ahead. We’ll start with techniques to calm the physical body and soothe the mind. Next, your only job is to let your brain and body be "bathed" (fully clothed) in the smooth, undulating waves of sound played live using crystal alchemy singing bowls and other instruments.
Yoga mats (limited), blocks, bolsters, and yoga blankets are available; please consider bringing your own mat if possible. Eye pillows will be available to all if desired. Warm socks, cozy layers, and a water bottle are recommended. Individuals of all backgrounds, identities and lifestyle preferences are welcome to participate.
Doors open at 7:45pm, session from 8-9:15pm. Doors will close at 8pm, no late arrivals admitted. Please allow time to check into the faciliity at the front desk and for the event and set up your mat and props before the session begins.
Tickets $15 SBP member/ $45 public includes same-day access to all SBP facilities and regularly scheduled yoga and fitness classes.

As a U.S. board-certified Chinese medicine practitioner, she believes in the power of reconnecting to one’s own internal rhythms and the natural rhythms of the earth. What if I'm not good at meditating or am new to sound baths?

It can be hard to control the mind with the mind, which is why the sensory stimuli of a sound bath can be helpful for reaching a relaxed state. Modern humans have been trained all through life to spring into action and be active on command, consequently intentional relaxation is a vital counterbalance to the constant activation. Sound baths are a perfect way to make conscious relaxation a regular part of your wellness routine.
What are the benefits of a sound bath?
