This limited 4-week series is your mid-week midday reset to dissolve tension, regulate your nervous system and ease your mind into relaxed focus. We’ll explore gentle movements and self-care techniques based in qigong, taiji quan, dance and current scholarly research. Moving meditation naturally synchronizes your mind and body to create a sense of peace and flow, which is especially useful if you’ve ever struggled with static meditation.
Each week we’ll loosely focus on a specific topic:
Week 1 Awareness & Grounding
Week 2 Breath & Energy
Week 3 Body & Brain
Week 4 Dynamic Flow
Attend the full series for the best cumulative benefit, or drop in whenever you can. Wear comfortable clothing that doesn’t restrict your movement, and bring a water bottle. All levels, backgrounds, beliefs and identities welcome, no experience necessary.
Free for SBP members or with entry to facility. If you’re not a member, this is a great time to lock in all four sessions with a 1-mo prepaid pass, and why not try out SBP’s regular rotation of yoga, fitness and movement classes, the fully equipped gym facilities, world-class climbing terrain, saunas (Poplar & UDist) and cold plunge (UDist), and feel great all October!
